On 15 October, we waved goodbye to group of 27 BST students from Years 10-13 and 5 staff who set off for an Adventures Hike to complete their Bronze Award as part of the Duke of Edinburgh Award Programme. The group under the leadership of Stephanie Corbishley will spend two days hiking in the Chimgan mountains. Complete with all their backpacks and appropriate equipment, the team left in bright sunshine and mild weather, great for the start of their journey.
Our first “Let’s Explore Early Years” live question and answer session is on Wednesday 27th October – 15:00 – 16:00 Uzbek time. Ms Irene Nel, Head of Early Years, will be leading this Q&A on why social and emotional development is crucial in Early Years?
Students at BST have embraced Global Campus with great enthusiasm this year. Challenges were related to various subjects and set in many different topics. Our students used the Global Campus platform during lessons as an extension to the work being done in class.
Year 9 students really enjoyed the two-day Plein Air Art trip to the Aktash mountain area.
The trip provided a new and exciting learning opportunity. The students were able to beautifully document a place in time, on canvas. The lovely Spring weather allowed our students to fully immerse themselves in the natural beauty of each of the landscapes visited. The experience and excitement of the visit were evident in the outstanding artwork created by each and every student that participated on the trip.
Chemistry, along with biology and physics, is one of the three major components of science. If we look at biology as the study of living things and physics as the study of the motion of matter, then chemistry is the study of matter itself.
On Sayram Campus, our wonderful Year 1 and 2 students performed 'Snowy Friends' in front of their friends and families. The winter show was full of brilliant songs and it told the story of Sammy the Snowman, a lonely snowman who was cheered up by a host of characters. Bravo Year 1s and 2s - it was spectacular!
EYFS have been busy this week painting rainbows to place in their windows. The children did this to cheer up people who walked passed. These paintings are meant to offer a message of hope to the public during this coronavirus lockdown.
Well done to all the EYFS Children at BST
Empowering our students to be world-changers is something central to every Nord Anglia Education school. We encourage them to share their thoughts on pressing global issues and to be ambitious about their role in making our world a better place through global-mindedness and active leadership.
