BSG Guangzhou Scholarships 2024/25
Over the weekend of the 17-19 November, 120 school leaders from Nord Anglia Education (NAE) China Bilingual and China International Schools gathered at The British School of Guangzhou to address some of the most significant questions impacting our schools in China. The conference celebrated achievements and recognised programmes and initiatives that had a clear and positive impact on student outcomes. It provided an opportunity to think, discuss and strategically plan a brighter future for our students and their families.
The conference began with keynote presentations by George Ghantous, Chief Operations Officer, and Dr Elise Ecoff, Chief Education Officer. Other notable contributions came from Dr Terry Creissen OBE, Regional Managing Director China International Schools and Jian Tang, Chair China Bilingual Schools. Andrew Fitzmaurice, CEO of Nord Anglia Education, gave an insightful and motivational closing address to delegates.
In addition, more than 30 workshops were facilitated by inspiring school leaders from across the NAE schools in China. These sessions were led by Principals, Heads of Schools, Subject and Year Leaders, and members of the Nord Anglia Education Team based in Oxford. The workshops covered diverse areas such as Leading Academic Enrichment, Developing Teams to Lead, Metacognition and Deeper Learning, Post Pandemic College Counselling in China, and Developing Reading Habits in our Schools.
After several years of connecting online, one of the greatest benefits that each conference delegate took back to their schools was a heightened understanding that ‘together we are stronger’ . They gained an appreciation for the wealth of experience, expertise and support available across Nord Anglia schools in China. It is this unity, sense of belonging and common purpose to provide the best possible outcomes for our students that makes Nord Anglia the premium international schools network in China and worldwide.
“Little Learners” playgroup class will start at the South Lake Early Years campus, on April 14th 2023, from 8:45-10:15 am.
