International Women’s Day Event

International Women’s Day was celebrated across the world this Wednesday with the theme of #EmbraceEquity;and embrace is exactly what BSGdid! Across the school a wide variety of learning took place,from stories to quizzes and presentations prepared by the students themselves. In Secondary School, pupils spent the time in each lesson learning about an influential female in thatsubjectfield. Primary students focused on females linked to their current topic;and Early Years read stories featuring female leads and discussed important women in their lives. The older students also learnt about the difference between equality and equity. Additionally, Female staff each receiveda gift of appreciation from the leadership team- what a lovely surprise!Thank you to all of the teachers who supported this event and all of the students for showing a great example of how to #EmbraceEquity.
