U19 Boys Football Match Report

On Wednesday 8^thMarch, the BSG Rhinos U19 Football team kickstarted their GISSA league campaign with a resounding 9-1 victory over CIS at Ya Gang. Following a dominant but wasteful opening, a perfectly weighted pass from captain Shaan Nankani sent Diego Zhu through on goal to calmly slot home the opener. The boys continued to pile on the pressure and were rewarded with a second just before the stroke of halftime as Shaan Nankani stepped up once again, this time smashing a superb freekick in off the right hand post from just outside the edge of the area!

After the restart, the goals continued to flow with Ethan Liang, Karan Adhrit, Homan Wu and Hugo Vargues all getting their names on the scoresheet as the Rhinos ran out convincing winners.

In what was a commanding team performance, special mention must go to midfielders Diego Zhu and Ethan Liang, who constantly caused havoc with their close control and mesmerizing dribbling throughout.

The boys now take on neighbors UISG on Tuesday 14^thMarch, in a must win game if they are to advance to this seasons’ GISSA Final.
