Early Years Update – Reception

This week in Early Years our Reception students have been using their imagination and getting creative just like Baby Bear in our core text, ‘Whatever Next’ by Jill Murphy. The story centres on a little bear with a vivid imagination who is determined to take a quick trip to the moon before bath time. Baby Bear looks around the house and finds a rocket, a space helmet and some space boots and sets out on his journey. During Cross-Curricular, our students were tasked with creating their own rockets out of craft materials and recycled items brought from home. Many of our Tigers and Dolphins worked together to build beautiful rockets that have been put on display in our classrooms. Their innovation, determination, and teamwork were phenomenal!
