Foundation Stage School Day
Our Nursery and Reception (Preschool and Kindergarten) students come into school between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m. Their teacher takes registration as the first activity of the day. Registration provides a great opportunity for talking about the exciting learning activities to come and sharing thoughts and feelings.
The Foundation Stage school day consists of:
- Teacher-focused and child-initiated learning
- Physical development in our multi-purpose indoor/outdoor learning space
- Specialist teacher input
- A healthy snack
Part Time Nursery students are collected at 12:05 p.m. and have the option to have lunch at school. Full Time Nursery students have lunch as well as a nap, if needed. Families can select a school lunch option or bring a nut-free lunch from home. Nursery and Reception students eat in their year groups in the school cafeteria.
Full Time Nursery and Reception children end their day with story time in the classroom and are collected at 3:30 p.m.
Key Stages 1 & 2 School Day
Students in Key Stage 1 (Years 1 & 2) and Key Stage 2 (Years 3-6) arrive at school between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Students may be walked to the school entrance or dropped off by car in the parking garage. Each class teacher takes registration at 8:30 a.m.
Lessons throughout the day involve core subjects, like Math and English, plus specialist classes such as World Languages, Art, and Music. Students also participate in lessons incorporating Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Robotics on our STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) corridor.
Students can select a school meal option or bring a nut-free lunch from home. Children eat together in the cafeteria with music playing, seated at round tables. The students also enjoy outdoor time on our rooftop play space and can access a range of activities during break times. At the end of the school day, children are collected at 3:30 p.m. or can participate in after-school clubs or care.
Before & After School
Full-time students from Nursery to Year 6 can join before- and after-school care every day of the week:
Before School Care starts at 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. It is billed hourly at $15/day
After School Care starts at 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. It is billed hourly at $14/hour
Both sessions are staffed with Learning Assistants and offer a range of learning activities. Part-time Nursery students can access before-school care and are then escorted to their classrooms.
We also offer a broad selection of clubs with themes ranging from Bookworms to Cheerleading and Taekwondo. Clubs are available before and after school and run every night of the week.
