Empowering Future Innovators

The Impact of Ed Tech on Children's Success & Well-Being

Why Ed Tech?

In today’s rapidly evolving world, technology isn’t just an add-on; it is a vital part of how we live, work, and play. Our new tech curriculum here at BISC-LP is designed to make sure your child isn’t just a user of technology but a Thinker, Creator, and a Future Maker. With a focus on digital media skills, coding, robotics, entrepreneurship, website building, graphic design, and presentations to name a few, we’re setting the stage for your child to excel in a digital future.

Linking Technology with Critical Thinking and Wellbeing

But it’s not just about learning to code or build a website. The integration of technology in education has been shown to significantly boost critical thinking skills, challenge behavior in constructive ways, and enhance overall academic success. According to research from the Journal of Educational Psychology, students who engage with technology in a structured environment develop stronger problem-solving abilities and creativity. This critical thinking is not just an academic skill; it is a life skill, helping children navigate challenges both inside and outside the classroom - crucial not only for maintaining the academic rigor we strive for at BISC-LP, but one that promotes the wellbeing of our children.

Building on the Goal Squad Foundations

You are already familiar with our beloved Goal Squad - characters like Mr. Respect, M. Pathy, and Princess Communication, who have been guiding your children in developing essential values like respect, empathy, and moral integrity. Our technology curriculum is deeply rooted in these same values.

As your children embark on their tech adventures, they will continue to be guided by the principles of the Goal Squad. Whether it is learning to code with respect for others, designing websites that communicate effectively, or building robots that solve real-world problems ethically, the Goal Squad will be there, ensuring that our technology education is not just about skills, but about character too.

Technology tasks often require perseverance, patience, and adaptability - skills that are crucial for academic success and personal growth. By engaging with technology, students learn to overcome obstacles, approach problems from different angles, and see failures as opportunities to learn. This mindset is exactly what we aim to cultivate at BISCLP: a resilient, growth-oriented attitude that will serve your children well throughout their lives.

Safety First (and Second and Third…)

We take every precaution to ensure that your child’s online experiences are safe and positive. From strict online safety protocols to educating them on recognizing and avoiding potential online risks, we are making sure that our digital explorers are well-equipped for their journeys. The Goal Squad will help reinforce these principles, ensuring that your child’s ventures into the digital world are as safe as they are educational.

A Fun and Engaging Learning Experience

We believe that learning should be as enjoyable as it is educational. That is why our new tech curriculum is designed to be interactive, hands-on, and (most importantly) fun!!! Whether your child is crafting a digital masterpiece, programming a robot to navigate a maze, or building a website that showcases their creativity, there will be plenty of opportunities for exploration and discovery. After all, the best learning happens when students are fully engaged and having fun.

Thinkers, Creators and Future Makers

At BISC-LP, we’re committed to empowering your children to become the future innovators, problem-solvers, and leaders of tomorrow. We’re not just teaching them to use technology, we are teaching them to master it, and to do so with a strong sense of responsibility, creativity, and confidence. I can’t wait to see where this journey leads!
