The powerhouse of the cell is mandarin oranges for Year 7 this week. As a part of thier Biology unit, students participated in a "Build a Model Cell" project. Students planned and created their own edible versions of the cell at home. Unfortunately, two of them melted on the way to school as they had used jelly to replicate the cytoplasm. As a result, another student changed their plan because they realized this would happen, a good example of reflection. The students then voted for the model that stood out. Congrats to the winner for their delicious model cell!
