I am a native of Arkansas where I started dancing at 4 years old. I have expanded my experience in styles like ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, Tanztheater, Butoh, Latin, and commercial dance, taking advantage of opportunities to train overseas including Germany, Italy, and Panama. I am especially interested in the fusion of dance and the culture it represents: understanding the history behind the dance is pivotal in my teaching. Currently, I am dancing professionally in Charlotte with Moving Spirits, Inc. and Baran Dance.
I started as a substitute assistant during college and have since then gathered experience in teaching creative movement, contemporary, jazz and ballet for students of all ages. I am excited to teach and learn from my dance students this year at BIS Charlotte!
