For the 2020 Global Challenge (made possible through our collaboration with UNICEF), our students have chosen to focus on Global Goals for Sustainable Development #14: Life Below Water.
On Monday, February 10, our students are launching Ocean Awareness Day to:
- Raise awareness of the vital importance of our oceans and their role in sustaining a healthy planet
- Draw attention to the problem of plastic pollution in our oceans
- Consider ways in which we can reduce our plastic waste as individuals and within the community
- Learn how to ‘recycle right’
Interested in helping the cause? Next Monday, February 10th, join Years 7-10 at 2:30 PM for an interactive presentation on how to recycle right. You’ll become a recycling expert as Mecklenburg County Residential Recycling Educator Maitri Meyer ‘schools’ you on recycling do’s and don’ts, along with the curbside recycling process here in our community.
Our students are leading the charge to effect change in our school and community at large. Will you join them?
Admissions: (704) 341-3236
