Wild birds are protected in Slovakia and we were able to call the Animals and Birds Rescue service. When he came to pick up the bird, he said it’s called “Brhlík” in Slovak. He already had two other birds a “Mišiak” and “ Dážďovník” in cages in his car, and he took our “Brhlík” and went to the Vets with them all. That way, the vet could fix their wounds. Let’s hope our “Brhlík” and both other birds will make a fast recovery. If you find a wounded bird, try to call this helpline for Bratislava: 0903 298 332 or 0903 298 333. They will tell you what to do and they will come to pick up the bird.
