The final work is being completed on the Junior Campus.
The drills and hammering have gone and we are in the final stages of preparing the campus ahead of students returning. Our staff are excited to be back in school too!
Next week sees the majority of our staff coming back on site to work full time from school. As a school, it is exciting to see the campus coming to life again and we look forward to seeing children on site very soon too. Our Health and Safety teams, led by the Deputy Headteachers, the Campus Facility Managers and the Senior Leadership Teams across all three campuses are putting together a comprehensive plan to ensure all of our systems and processes are in place to meet the needs of all of our BIS community returning to the school campus. On Tuesday 30th November we will host a webinar for parents to help them prepare the children for a return to face to face learning. More details will follow next week.
Remembrance Sunday takes place on Sunday, commemorated all over the world, it is our chance to remember the lives lost due to conflict.
In today’s assembly we took the time to remember those that gave their lives for us but also those caught up in wars who were lost. In a community such as ours, with huge cultural diversity, our children are well placed to be part of the future generation that recognises and celebrates differences and diversity, they will sit down beside, next to, opposite others, with different ideas, opinions and ideals. But, they will talk and more importantly listen and I hope act with integrity and respect, two of our Aide Memoire Attributes.
Daily, I am proud of the interactions I see amongst our students. The care, compassion and respect shown is incredible and often, when I am reading about or watching the news of conflicts and political disconnect, I am comforted by the fact that students around the globe, particularly International students, are more closely connected and aligned in their values and I hope, more committed to bringing peace and unity to our world. Today we remember the fallen but we also look to the future and the part our students will play in making it a more peaceful world for all.
Congratulations to all our Young Musicians that have performed over the last 7 days. It has been a delight to hear students from Year 1 to Year 6 performing and showcasing their hard work and talents. Equally, it was wonderful to listen to some of our Year 6 performers that took part in the Year 6 live lunch on Wednesday. There are more live lunches to come for all year groups.
A relaxed and entertaining lunchtime on Wednesday, when some of our Year 6 students performed on their instruments or sang to their friends. We had performances from Zoe from 6V, Wei Lin from 6C, Han from 6I, Dhanvin from 6N and Mouky from 6I.
They were all wonderful, and every performance put big smiles on the faces of those in attendance, and each performer earned rapturous applause from the audience. We hope to continue to host these events that encourage students, no matter what level of ability they are, to perform to their peers in a comfortable and safe environment. Thank you to those in attendance, and an even bigger thank you to the students who bravely shared their skills and talent with all of us who were lucky enough to be there to listen.

We would like to thank the BIS school community for your generous contributions to the Luv Project so far. We have managed to raise over 75 million VND to provide food packages and basic sanitary products for 186 different families with vulnerable children under 6 across Ho Chi Minh City. This would not have been possible without your support!
As a team, we have made the collective decision to keep this fundraiser open for several more weeks. If you have yet to make a donation or would like to contribute further, now is a great time to get involved! This month, PE&D will be setting up an emergency fund, of which any contributions made will go towards paying the rent, education, electricity, as well as other necessities for the families of the children we support in these dire times.
To donate, please visit PE&D’s dedicated donation page. Alternatively, by visiting the Donate Now page on our website, you will find all the relevant information which you can use to participate in this fundraising effort.
We are also proud to announce our participation in the BIS community donation box, located outside the Junior Campus Guard House (Gate A, 225 Nguyen Van Huong Street). If you happen to be in Thao Dien, feel free to visit the campus and make a cash donation to help support these vulnerable children in any way possible.
As always, any donation, no matter the size, will be greatly appreciated and we are truly grateful for your support. Should you choose to donate, you will receive a letter of gratitude to acknowledge your valuable contribution and kindness during these difficult times.
For more information about our organization please feel free to contact us through our website or our Instagram page (@theluvprojectvn)!

Following the success of our Rube Goldberg Global Campus Day, we’re pleased to announce the next whole primary enrichment day.
This is to give you advance notice of the theme of the day, to confirm that no special equipment or materials are needed – but you might like to save some junk modelling materials for example, for your child to create their penguin or penguins with.
We are looking forward to another day of seeing children’s creative ideas.

(Assistant Headteachers)
