Definition of Wellbeing
(H.Street 2018)
Over the four weeks, students have been introduced to a number of different activities which focused on positive body, positive mind and positive emotions. For many students it may have been the first time they have participated in the activities and for many it has taken them far out of their comfort zones - into the area where the magic happens! As I said last week I have been so impressed by the way in which our Year 11 students have thrown themselves into the various activities and this is a sentiment echoed by colleagues and the external providers who gave up their time to come in and support us over the last few weeks; a huge thank you as ever to Hustle Vietnam and local yoga teacher, Phuong Nguyen. I would like to thank all the staff and students who also helped make the last four weeks such a success, in particular Adele Kavaliauskaite, Vivian Viehweg and Jenna Bonner who led the dance session for the Year 11s.
The feedback from students illustrates the the benefit they have gained over the last four weeks and the contribution the activities have made to their positive wellbeing:

The contribution the activities made to the Year 11 students positive wellbeing is summed up in the following quote:
"It was a remarkable opportunity for us all to experience different activities where we could restfully ignore the stressfulness of IGCSE and utterly make use of the time to focus on our wellbeing. I believe that by continuing these activities, we will not just be able to perform better in the exams but also gain lots of benefits for our mental health."
