Read below to see how our 3 teams fared in this weeks match up against ISSP.
U9 BOYS
This being their final game of the season, BIS wanted to finish with a resounding win, and boy did they do that! Playing on the ISSP rooftop wall to wall pitch certainly threw a few initial challenges to our boys, but they quickly got to grips with the unfamiliar arena and started to pass the ball around quickly to feet. With the small size of the pitch, shots from anywhere were encouraged by coach, Mr.G. This released a barrage of shots from our BIS boys, with Alex, Bay and Cosme scoring in the first half from close, tight angles. The second half was in similar fashion, this time seeing Cosme score his second and Hai with a brace too. Cedric and JiSung were commanding at the back, with intelligent passing turning defence into attack, and both Jack and Lucas proved a constant threat when in possession of the ball. A good result in unfamiliar conditions. Well done BIS, undefeated this season. Final score: BIS 6-1 ISSP.

U9 Girls
Our U9 girls arrived at ISSP with enormous smiles on their faces and full of enthusiasm, ready for their final game of the season! The game would prove as a harder game this time around, but they fought on with determination and perseverance. Although the girls had conceded two goals in the first half, their spirits were not dampened and they strode out onto the field for the second half with their heads held high and ready to play. During this half, our striker, Anya, scored a brilliant goal, firing it into the bottom right hand corner of the net. Even though BIS definitely held most of the possession and were the stronger team, ISSP scored two more goals. I’m so proud of our girls and it’s been a pleasure to coach them this season! Final score: BIS 1-4 ISSP.
Kathryn Payne, Primary Class Teacher.
U11 Girls
The U11 Girls A Team had an incredible start and went 1-0 up in the first few seconds with a mazy dribble and goal from Phoung Anh. They continued to work hard but unfortunately let 1 goal past. However, this did not stop our girls and Ananya managed to get our second goal, with Phoung Anh closely following with another. The score at half time was 3-1 to BIS. The second half followed a similar theme with Ananya scoring another goal early on to take the score to 4-1, and with 2 minutes left in the game, Phoung Anh scored a cracking top corner goal. An incredible performance in their last football game of the season. Final score: BIS 5-1 ISSP.
