BIS HCMC wins "Best International Baccalaureate Results” Award

Each year, at Nord Anglia Education’s Senior Leadership Team Conference, senior leaders and principals from across the organisation gather to discuss best practice and to share new developments in their schools. The conference is also when the “Be Ambitious Awards” are presented to celebrate the different ways the 56  Nord Anglia Education schools have achieved excellence during the past academic year.

In the 2017/2018 school year, Nord Anglia schools showed exceptional academic strength across all the offered curricula. In terms of academics, several schools were awarded ‘Be Ambitious Awards’ for their students’ strong results.

We're proud to announce that BIS HCMC won the prestigious honour of “Best International Baccalaureate Results” tied this year with Nord Anglia International School Shanghai, Pudong with an average score of 36.4 points on the IB Diploma Programme.

Reminder of our 2018 IBDP Results

• Anh Tuan Le, scored a perfect score of 45, putting him amongst the top 0.2% of students worldwide. Read Tuan's BIS story here.
• 100% pass rate topping the global average pass rate of 78.4%.  This is a testament to our Be Ambitious philosophy, highlighting that there is no limit to what our students can achieve. 
• Our students' average score in the IB Diploma was 36.4, significantly ahead of the 2018 global average of 29.8 points.
• 23.9% of our students achieved 40 points or more. This level of attainment provides our students with the opportunity to gain admission into the world's elite universities, including Cambridge, Oxford, Harvard and Stanford.
• Our students received over 500 university offers with scholarships worth a total of US$ 1.5 million.

This level of academic success is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our students during their time at BIS HCMC as well as our teachers' encouragement to inpire our students to be the best they can possibly be.
