Year 2’s trip to the Ho Chi Minh City Circus
In IPC, we have been learning about the circus. We have researched the history of the circus, written circus poems and stories, learnt about colours and the emotions they evoke, constructed a big top and used Lego to build a circus plan.

We have also been learning different skills: hula hooping, juggling and gymnastics. Amazingly, for our Entry Point, TX teachers’ performed a mini circus for us, so we were very excited to have the opportunity to watch a real circus, sitting around the circus ring, under the Big Top.
On Wednesday morning we visited the HCMC Circus. Luckily, there was an international celebration so we were able to watch performances from 7 different countries. The acts performed have never been seen in HCMC before. We laughed at the clowns, gasped at the trapeze artists and marvelled at the acrobats. A fantastic, breath-taking show! We have learnt a lot about performing in a circus and we are looking forward to performing our very own circus in assembly next week!
