Learning in Action Discovery Morning in Foundation Stage 3
Last night Tu Xuong Primary put on an outstanding performance of ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. From the moment the opening line was said to the final song the show was top quality and it was wonderful to see.
The Roald Dahl classic story is about a little boy who finds one of five golden tickets in a Wonka chocolate bar and wins a lifetime supply of chocolate and a trip to Willy Wonka’s magical chocolate factory.
There was so much to enjoy including dancing birds, oompa loompas, dramatic moments where characters fell into chocolate rivers and egg-weighing machines and some truly superb acting!
Our MP3 cast brought so much energy and confidence to this performance that it was a pleasure to watch. The actors truly transported the audience into the colourful candy-land of an eccentric inventor.
The chocolate factory was brought to life with superb singing and dancing, plus the help of an invaluable backstage crew. With convincing props and gadgets, and a multi-coloured painted set design, it was a feast for the senses to behold!
Learning lines, lyrics, choreography and cues for scene changes all demand a lot of commitment and we were proud of the many children who went the extra mile to make this show a success.

We are thrilled that four of our Year 13 students have recently gained offers from ‘Elite’ USA universities.
With over 1,200 students, staff, and parents participating in the 5km run or walk, the event was a true reflection of the school’s commitment to fostering a strong sense of community.
At BIS HCMC, our Primary Expeditions are more than just school trips—they are life-changing expeditions that shape our students into confident, independent individuals. Earlier this month, our Year 4, 5, and 6 students embarked on thrilling journeys to Long Hai, Can Gio, and Cat Tien.
What do you do when you have school uniforms that are now too small, or you no longer need them, but you don’t want to simply throw them away? For BIS HCMC parents, Bibi, Margot, and Ying, this dilemma sparked an inspiring solution—the Parent Uniform Upcycling Team.
