It was incredible to see over 200 BIS Hanoi members joining the BritCham Fun Run event on Sunday, November 13th.
Organised by the British Chamber of Commerce Vietnam in support of local charities, this event was filled with quality family time, laughter, and healthy choices. The event was the perfect opportunity to give back to the beautiful country we all call home, while improving physical fitness.
On the day of the race, many participants arrived at the park venue early in the morning, checking in with their families and getting ready for the run. Many of them also stopped by the BIS Hanoi booth to take part in the fun activities we had planned. They were all excited about the quiz game and face painting, and the children loved spinning our lucky wheel and getting their prizes.
Before the run, BIS Hanoi members gathered for a group photo. They then proceeded to the race and completed the 5km run with smiles on their faces. It was a wonderful morning for all.
We would like to thank everyone who participated and supported our community. We were extremely fortunate to be able to help Britcham and our long-term community partners assist those in greatest need, especially during such difficult times.
A special thanks go to our CAS students who helped at the BIS Hanoi booth on Sunday. Their energy and enthusiasm brightened the day.
The charity fun run first took place in 2000 and has since raised 12 billion VND for charities throughout Vietnam, with 120,000 people taking part in the race over the years. All profits earned from the charity run will benefit a variety of Vietnamese charities, including Saigon Children's Charity, The Christina Noble Foundation, and Blue Dragon's Children Foundation.
