Charlotte is a gifted athlete and among her many sporting interests is obstacle course racing (OCR), more specifically Spartan Races.
Charlotte would have placed top 3 in the Elite category at the recent Spartan Sprint race in Abu Dhabi against some of the best runners in the world.
Last week in the longer Spartan discipline, the Al Ain Zoo Spartan Super, Charlotte placed 1st in her age group again. Had she not humbly run in her age group, she would have finished in the top 12 in the Elite category against competitors that had flown in from Europe for the race.
Charlotte has now qualified to run against the best competitors in the world at the Spartan World Championships in December. The Championships are being held in the UAE in December, the first time the event has been hosted outside the US! We wish charlotte all the best.
Last week, Mrs. Stanier, our Head of Humanities, had the pleasure of accompanying three of our amazing students: Tia and Renad from Year 12, and Turkan from Year 10, to Houston, Texas, to take part in the NAE UNICEF summit. We were thrilled to be hosted by one of our Nord Anglia schools, The Village School in Houston, the first Child-Friendly City in the US recognised by UNICEF. The Village School is a boarding school, so the students got to experience what life was like as a boarding student there for the week.
