The eighth annual Nord Anglia Creative Writing Anthology challenged students to develop a piece with both a written and visual element, inspired by Goodnight Stories for Rebel
Girls, written by Elena Favilli and Francesca Cavallo.
Students wrote biographies about local climate rebels – individuals from their local communities or countries who have used their talents, knowledge, and voices to lead efforts to combat climate change. Students were also challenged to take inspiration from the diverse styles of illustrations throughout Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls, and created powerful portraits of their chosen climate rebel.

The fourth annual Nord Anglia Comic Book Anthology brought together some of the best in
storytelling and illustrations from students of all age groups across BIS Abu Dhabi and other Nord Anglia schools.
For this year's Comic Book Competition, students engaged with Sustainable Development Goal 13 – taking action to combat climate change – and James Foley's graphic novel series S.Tinker Inc. Students were challenged to take inspiration from James Foley’s S. Tinker Inc series and develop their own innovative solutions to combatting climate change.
Students had the opportunity to develop their creative skills through beginner, intermediate and advanced skills workshops and a Q&A session led by James Foley.
