I am from a beautiful and mountainous town called Draa El Mizan which is also a province in Northern Algeria (Kabylie). However, I have always lived by the coast of a region called Tipaza. It was part of the Roman Empire and is known for its ancient ruins and sandy shores.
I knew at an early age that I wanted to become a teacher; it has always been a dream of mine. After receiving my High Diploma in Teaching, I then went on to Glasgow University to obtain my Postgraduate Diploma in Education.
I worked as a teacher in different national and international schools in Abu Dhabi until one day I joined BIS Abu Dhabi, where I started as an assistant teacher in Key Stage Two. Working at BIS Abu Dhabi has been, without a doubt, the most unforgettable experience not only with students but also with all the other teachers and staff.
As I am fluent at speaking and writing in 3 languages, I have been fortunate to be a member of the Arabic Department for the last 3 years. As a Nursery and FS2 Arabic teacher, I devote all my energy to my lovely little ones; I simply cannot describe my happiness and joy when I watch the children developing the love of learning in a dynamic environment where each day is different.
In my free time I love cooking, I am constantly trying new Mediterranean recipes which I share with my three lovely sons who live abroad in Madrid and Paris. I am looking forward to when I can once again invite friends over to my home to spend a nice evening together with them. I also enjoy volunteering and recently I have been supporting Alliance Française of Abu Dhabi.
