Secondary students from Years 7- 11 participated in a BISAD Diploma Dialogue.
They paired up with students in different forms and year groups to discuss all the extra-curricular things they have been doing this term. They peer-assessed their portfolios and gave each other targets that will help them complete their Non-Academic Achievement Report in January.
The BISAD Diploma is an initiative within BIS Abu Dhabi to support the education of our students. It is an award which all students will work towards in each year group, from Year 1 to Year 11.
Students are encouraged to achieve their best in academic, sport and creative fields, whilst at the same time developing their social skills; respect, kindness, honesty and a willingness to serve others.
Last week, Mrs. Stanier, our Head of Humanities, had the pleasure of accompanying three of our amazing students: Tia and Renad from Year 12, and Turkan from Year 10, to Houston, Texas, to take part in the NAE UNICEF summit. We were thrilled to be hosted by one of our Nord Anglia schools, The Village School in Houston, the first Child-Friendly City in the US recognised by UNICEF. The Village School is a boarding school, so the students got to experience what life was like as a boarding student there for the week.
