Admissions are now open for 2025/2026
Hi, my name is Camille. I am 8 years old and I am in Year 4. I was born in Brussels but we live in Abu Dhabi since 2015. I have two little sisters, Louise and Victoire.
When I arrived in FS2, I couldn’t speak English at all! But, I made myself some new friends quickly. My favorite subjects in school are math, writing and reading. I LOVE books. I read every night in my bed before sleeping.
The funniest day in BIS Abu Dhabi was Book Day 2019. I was dressed up as “Gangsta Granny”.
After school, I like doing sports. I play golf with my dad. I also do contemporary dance and swimming classes.
I love music. I listen to Lana Del Rey, Queen… But my favorite singers are “Angèle” and “Louane”. They are very famous in Belgium and France!
Camille, Year 4
Hello, my name is Louise. I am 4 years old and I’m in the tiger class (FS2 B).
My big sister is Camille. She is so funny! We also have a baby sister, Victoire. She is so cute and smiles all the time!
What I like to do the most in school is creating jewellery and accessories with reusable things. I made earrings for my friends.
When I’ll grow up, I’ll become a ballerina. My favorite ballet is “The Swan Lake”. Everything is beautiful: the music, the dances, the costumes.
I also love to play with my dinosaur figurines at home after school and play with our puppy Bella.
Louise, FS2
The British International School Abu Dhabi (BIS Abu Dhabi) was deeply honoured to welcome Her Highness Sheikha Shamma Bint Sultan Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan to its campus on Thursday, 17 April 2025. Her Highness, President & CEO of the UAE Independent Climate Change Accelerators (UICCA) and The Climate Tribe, is a distinguished entrepreneur, thought leader, and researcher with a deep commitment to sustainability, climate change, and gender equity.
At The British International School Abu Dhabi, we believe that education is not just about academic success—it’s about nurturing compassionate, responsible young people who understand the importance of giving back. This Ramadan, I have been truly moved by the way our students have embraced the spirit of the holy month, demonstrating kindness, generosity, and a genuine commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.
Inspired by the latest Nord Anglia INSIGHTS article exploring why the Early Years are the most important years of a child’s education, we know that a child’s most significant learning happens during this time - in ways that are not always immediately visible.
