Our profile this week is Hugh, a student in Year 7 who has been with the school for three years. Below Hugh gives us an introduction to himself and his favourite subjects:
My name is Hugh, I am twelve years old and in Year 7. This is my third year in BIS Abu Dhabi. I am from Melbourne, Australia I lived there for seven years before moving to Bangkok where I lived for two and a half years. Out of all my schools I have attended in the past, BIS Abu Dhabi has been my favourite school because of the caring students and exceptional teachers. My experience so far at BIS has been incredible, not just because of the amazing teachers and kind students but also because of the great opportunities to learn and develop not just as a student but as a human being too.
My favourite subjects are Drama, PE and Science, in all of them I have wonderful teachers, Mr. Williams, Mr. Givens and Ms. Hussain. As for my hobbies I enjoy playing football, playing on my trampoline and playing video games with my mates. This has been a brilliant year for me because I was part of the Boys’ Dance Company, the Les Misérables production and I won the BISAD Triathlon.
When I leave school, I want to either become a stage actor and do live plays or an apprenticeship to become a tradesperson in my home country, Australia.
