Our very first Spanish Assembly took place on Monday to celebrate the Spanish Book Week. Learning a foreign language is a great adventure and this time the adventure took some of our students to discover Spanish cities and their culture to help us promote one of the sustainable development goals. We feel really lucky because we had the opportunity to run this competition with the support of “El Correo del Golfo”, the first newspaper in Spanish in the Middle East, some dedicated BIS Abu Dhabi Spanish parents and the Spanish Embassy. Some of our IB students led part of the assembly.
Congratulations to all the Spanish students who participated and received a certificate and to the finalists who were awarded with a prize!

Inspired by the latest Nord Anglia INSIGHTS article exploring why the Early Years are the most important years of a child’s education, we know that a child’s most significant learning happens during this time - in ways that are not always immediately visible.
As a proud member of the Nord Anglia family, The British International School (BIS) Abu Dhabi is at the forefront of cutting-edge research. As one of the select pilot schools, we are benefitting from innovative studies like the recent Forbes-featured Metacognition project, which aims to enhance student learning and critical thinking.
