We would like to announce our school day during the Holy month of Ramadan.
The school hours will be to 8.15am – 1.45pm, with FS collected at 1:30pm.
Gates will open at 8:00am, with students going straight to the classroom.
Primary students can be collected from the playground at 1.45pm, while FS students can be collected from the classroom at 1.30pm. Secondary students will leave classrooms at 1.45pm.
Buses
School buses will leave the school at 2:00pm.
Breaks and lunches
Students who are not fasting will need to bring a packed lunch to school as the school canteen will be closed. The upstairs canteen will be assigned for non-fasting students to eat and drink during break times.
Access to water
Water will be readily available on the ground floor and in the outside play areas for all younger students, and in several designated areas in Secondary school.
PE and music lessons
Fasting students will be exempt from PE and Music lessons if requested by parents
Please note there will be no late pickup during this period, please ensure your child is picked up on time.
The start of Ramadan is subject to moon sighting.

Students studying the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme at The British International School Abu Dhabi once again performed significantly above the global average.
A total of 76 students at The British International School Abu Dhabi studied for IB exams this year. As well as achieving an outstanding pass rate, the students ’ average score was 33.4, exceeding the global average of 30.32.
