Admissions are now open for 2025/2026
As announced last week we are very pleased to launch in-school classes for parents commencing next week. These weekly adult learning opportunities will allow BIS to be a place of learning enjoyment for everyone, not only students.
The first of these classes to run in Term 1 will be Arabic language and Yoga. Places are limited for both classes and parents are asked to sign-up if interested:
Arabic
Arabic language lessons will take place weekly between 8am – 9am on Tuesdays, commencing Tuesday 6th October, and will be run by Mr. Amjad.
The class will help parents learn the basics, both spoken and written. Places are limited and will be reserved on a first-come first-served basis. If we are unable to offer you a place in Term 1, you will be given priority for the next time the classes are held.
Yoga
Yoga classes will be held weekly between 8 – 9am on Mondays and Thursdays in Forum I on the second floor, run by a qualified instructor from Advantage Sports.
The first class on Monday 5th October will be a free trial so please do come along and enjoy the exercise. To register your attendance to the Yoga free trial class please email cca@bisad.ae
From then onwards, each class will cost 40 AED (payable to the instructor on the day) and will be on a drop in basis, with no registration required.
Please bring your own mat and water. We appreciate parents wearing respectful exercise attire when attending the Yoga class.
For any questions in relation to the Arabic and Yoga classes please email cca@bisad.ae
The British International School Abu Dhabi (BIS Abu Dhabi) was deeply honoured to welcome Her Highness Sheikha Shamma Bint Sultan Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan to its campus on Thursday, 17 April 2025. Her Highness, President & CEO of the UAE Independent Climate Change Accelerators (UICCA) and The Climate Tribe, is a distinguished entrepreneur, thought leader, and researcher with a deep commitment to sustainability, climate change, and gender equity.
At The British International School Abu Dhabi, we believe that education is not just about academic success—it’s about nurturing compassionate, responsible young people who understand the importance of giving back. This Ramadan, I have been truly moved by the way our students have embraced the spirit of the holy month, demonstrating kindness, generosity, and a genuine commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.
Inspired by the latest Nord Anglia INSIGHTS article exploring why the Early Years are the most important years of a child’s education, we know that a child’s most significant learning happens during this time - in ways that are not always immediately visible.
