The Year 6 BISCARS 2015 took place on the 14th of June. The BISCARS is a graduation ceremony presented for Year 6 in preparation of moving up into Secondary School. During the ceremony students were presented with awards such as PSHE awards, The Arts award, The Music awards, PE awards and more.
It was an amazing and event with lots of nibbles. The theme of 2015 was the Oscars. The girls wore long and short gowns and the boys wore suits and ties. The year 6 team gave an inspirational speech to all the Year sixes about their achievements. At the beginning of the ceremony, year 6 sang proud by Heather Small and to close the ceremony we sand Shake it off but we did a remix and called it Moving on! Thanks Miss Rochelle for all your help!
Here are a few things some year 6 students thought about the BISCARS graduation:
“The BISCARS ceremony was definitely remarkable! All the girls looked so stunning! By the end of the graduation we were all victims of the paparazzi.” –Francesca Engles 6D.
“At the end of the amazing ceremony we were given yummy refreshments and nibbles such as 3 cakes! It was great!” – Alex Kinnane 6B
“All the teachers and the staff looked absolutely stunning (even Mr Zindilis for once)!” –Ruby Wright 6C.
“It was definitely a memorable night. I couldn’t believe that after all these years dreaming about the BISCARS, all those years watching other children moving on, I had finally made it! Getting the awards for topics you love to learn about gave me solid ambition.” – Mahra, 6A
“The BISCARS was great fun and everybody looked great. After we had the yummiest snacks to celebrate all our achievements and we all felt like movie stars when we got surrounded by cameras.” Charlie, 6E
