The 437-seat Amman Academy Theatre combines opera, concert, and theater functions with exceptional acoustics, serving as a dynamic hub for collaboration and innovation among artists and performers. With its mix of traditional and modern elements, the theatre exudes a sense of grandeur reminiscent of the baroque era. The building also includes two lobbies and a multipurpose hall for conferences and other gatherings.
The Amman Academy Theater offers a truly immersive experience with its cutting-edge audio and visual systems that include 12 motorized heads, a sophisticated rigging system, a 20 square meter LED screen, 250 lighting fixtures, and a built-in orchestra pit that can accommodate 30 musicians.
Notably, the theatre has been recognized with the 2022 Innovation Award for Leisure and Entertainment.
The Amman Academy Theatre was graciously gifted by Amman Academy’s founder Munzer Fahoum, with the vision to serve its students and the country through drama, music, and the arts.
Since its launch, the theatre has hosted a wide variety of performances, featuring both local and international artists. Our own students have also put on some incredible performances, including the world-renowned Pirates of the Caribbean and musical play "لحن وطن". Jordanian soprano Zeina Barhoum and British tenor and actor Nadim Naaman also presented performances during the theatre’s inauguration under the patronage of HRH Princess Muna in June 2022. The theatre also hosted over 60 artists from Italy in collaboration with the Amman Opera Festival for La Traviata, in addition to Opera Aida in 2024.
