IB MIDDLE YEARS PROGRAMME (MYP)

Our International Baccalaureate (IB) MYP brings out the best in our middle school students, developing their subject knowledge and essential attributes, values, and skills. Your child will explore global issues, apply what they learn to real-world situations, and immerse themselves in themed projects. This will set them up for success on the IB Diploma.

OUR MIDDLE school in amman

Our grade 6 to 10 students follow the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP).

The MYP is a challenging but highly rewarding curriculum that encourages students to make practical connections between their studies and the real world. It provides an outstanding academic education, with learning taught through eight subject groups. The MYP also focuses on the development of core attitudes, skills, and values.

Our exceptional Middle Years Programme (MYP) teachers don’t just teach facts and knowledge, they show our students how to learn – and give them control over their education. We’ll also prepare your child for the demands and opportunities of the 21st century. Starting the day right
Every morning, our school counsellor runs a dedicated homeroom period – covering topics from wellbeing to study skills – that lays the foundations for a successful day of learning. We also use this time for morning assemblies, which are joyous get-togethers filled with student celebrations, performances, and announcements.

Specialist subjects
All our subjects – from Arabic and English to maths and design technology – are taught by one of our brilliant Middle Years Programme specialists. They also harness the flexibility of interdisciplinary Units of Inquiry to encourage the transfer of knowledge across the subjects. This develops creative critical thinkers and problem-solvers.

Taking a break
Break times give our students the chance to hang out with friends, enjoy a healthy snack or meal, and do something they love. Basketball is always popular – and a great way to let off steam, get active, and develop teamwork skills.
