KINDERGARTEN CURRICULUM

At Amman Academy, our kindergarten children follow the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP). Excellence begins early here, and our PYP sets the highest standards for the learning, development, and care of nursery and pre-school students. It will meticulously prepare your child for primary by carefully nurturing their formative knowledge and building fundamental skills.

The curriculum encourages our learners to be curious, introducing them to themes that span different subjects. Learning extends beyond the classroom, too, enabling students to connect ideas with real-world experiences. The PYP’s global focus also instils an early understanding of people, ideas, and cultures from around the world.

At this stage in your child’s education, we seek to inspire a genuine love of learning. We do this by encouraging our children to take control of how and what they learn, guided by our early years specialists. Through themed activities and play-based experiences, your child will develop independence of thought, build early critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and enjoy a feeling of empowerment.

Our approach to the PYP is truly holistic, nurturing the emotional, physical, and cognitive development of our kindergarten students. This ensures every child receives the care and attention they need to grow and excel.

Starting the day with a song
A fun-filled morning assembly is the perfect way to start the day. We sing, we dance, and we celebrate various holidays and cultural traditions – including Christmas and Arab Child Day. The best thing? Our parents are always invited to join us!

Circle Time
Circle Time brings our children together to talk, tell stories, and practice their listening skills. Our expert educators cover topics related to kindness and wellbeing, and share a ‘morning message’. This instils strong values from an early age.

Taking a break
Scheduled snack breaks provide our students with the energy they need to learn and grow. Your child’s physical and emotional wellbeing are our priority, and our caring teachers encourage healthy habits – and lots of movement.
