The Village School students visited Chief Resilience Officer Stephen Costello on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 to discuss flooding in Houston, as part of the challenge released by MIT.

The Village School places second in Loggerhead Challenge regional ocean science competition.

The Village School's, Kaila D. and Keagan T., along with 31 other area children and teens, have been cast and will represent Wildfish Theatre Company at the Junior Theatre Festival in Sacramento, CA February 9-13, 2017.

The Village School hosts Juilliard-trained french horn player Misty Tolle.

The Village School is proud to announce that it had 13 high school students participate in the TPSMEA All State Clinic and Concert. Rohith K earned 1st chair and was selected TPSMEA All State Concertmaster.

The Village School did an outstanding job at the recent regional Scholastic Writing Awards. The Village School brought home a total of 46 awards.

The Village School hosted two guests from The Juilliard School and our 4th grade students were able to interview them for Quick TV kids.

Fifteen middle school students spent December 5 at ExxonMobil’s Houston campus presenting to and speaking with STEAM visionaries and local business leaders.

The Village School participated in the annual The Global Games competition at Windermere Prep in Orlando, Florida on November 29th-December 3rd.

On Saturday, October 29th, The Village School’s cross country team competed in the TAPPS State Championship Meet in Waco, TX. This meet was the culmination of a three month season, packed with eight Saturday meets, and 5:30am daily practices that were both on and off campus. Varsity runners logged over 50 miles per week in an effort to set new personal records (PR’s) and better the team. After a top 3 District Championship finish, the boys team was peaking at the right time heading into the State Championship meet.

A sophomore at The Village School, Sharan S., completed 215 hours this summer working with Methodist Institute for Technology, Innovation and Education (MITIE).

The Village School Math/Science Team had an awesome showing at the TMSCA meet held at the Carnegie Vanguard High School on Saturday, October 29.

Village had another phenomenal weekend at the Klein Oak Junior High Tournament.

Congratulations to our students for their participation in the TMEA (Texas Music Educators Association) Region 23 Auditions - one of the most competitive Regions in the state and perhaps in the country, with students coming from public and private schools from HISD, Katy ISD and Alief ISD.

Jet Tila, American celebrity chef and LA restaurateur visited Village today and gave an amazing cooking demonstration for our students. Chef Tila is currently the chef of The Charleston and Pakpao Thai and has appeared on Chopped, Cutthroat Kitchen, Iron Chef America, and The Best Thing I Ever Ate.

The Village High School Speech and Debate Team competed in two back-to-back Tournaments
