Lisa Cannell has 20 years of teaching, leadership and management experience.
After starting her career in the North of England she became the Deputy Head of an Infant School in Norfolk. She relocated with her husband to Singapore where they both worked at Tanglin Trust School. During her eleven years in Singapore, Lisa was Head of Year in the Junior School and later Director of Continuous Professional Development across the whole school. Her role focused on working with teachers to deepen their understanding of pedagogy, develop their leadership capability and ensure classroom practice was influenced by educational research.
Lisa returned to the Uk to take up a Headship at Westbourne Independent School in Sheffield. She graduated from the University of Northumbria with a First Class honours degree in Primary Education and later completed the National Qualification for Headship (NPQH). Lisa’s husband Jon will join her in Dublin along with their boys, Louis and Bertie, who will both start NAIS in September.
