FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Do you admit students throughout the year?
Admissions at NAIS Dublin are rolling, meaning we enrol students throughout the school year. Our teachers are used to settling children in at short notice, and we provide a full onboarding service that helps them integrate into their relevant year group, make friends, and catch up on where they need to be in the curriculum.
  • What curriculum do you follow?
At NAIS Dublin, we follow the International Baccalaureate (IB) continuum of programmes, a world-renowned all-through curriculum that nurtures an array of essential skills and instils a lifelong love of learning. The IB is even flexible enough to integrate Irish language, history and cultural studies at all school levels.
  • What foreign languages do you teach?
Early Years and Primary students (KG4 to Grade 5) can take a language acquisition course in Spanish, French or Mandarin. Secondary students may also choose to study any of these three languages, as well as German. We’re also proud to offer Irish as a co-curricular activity for students from KG4 to Grade 12.
  • Do you provide English Language Support (ELS)?
One of our school’s greatest strengths is our ability to integrate students whose mother tongue is not English. We ensure that learners who need ELS get the attention they need to become fluent – and in no time at all! Our Primary students may use the time allocated for language acquisition to focus on ELS. This enables them to become proficient in English quickly and effectively.
  • Do you offer a lunch service?
Lunch is included in the school fees for Early Years children in KG3 and KG4. All other students can buy a hot lunch from our school Lunchbox. We offer a range of nutritious meals, as well as quick options like salads, soups and sandwiches. We change our menu daily and it can be viewed up to two weeks in advance on our parent app. Our lunch service is provided by Cliff Catering.
  • Do you have a school bus service?
Yes! Our daily bus service is available to students aged 3 and over, and is designed to make your life that little bit easier. We currently offer three routes, which run once in the morning and twice after school (3.30 pm and 4.30 pm). Each bus has a dedicated monitor, who supervises students and ensures they’re collected and dropped off at their designated stops.
  • Do you offer after school care?
We do! After school care is available to Early Years and Primary students from 3.30-6.00 pm. Do note that there is a charge for this service.
  • Does the school offer boarding?
NAIS Dublin doesn’t presently offer boarding facilities. However, several overseas students do live with host families in Dublin.
  • Do you offer co-curricular activities?

Absolutely! We offer a wide variety of clubs and activities. We encourage all students to get involved in the programme and discover how to channel their interests in an energetic way.

Our co-curricular activity programme runs every week:

    KG3–Grade 1: Monday to Thursday, 2.30–3.30 pm.

Grade 2–11: Monday to Thursday, 3.30–4.30 pm.
