Alumni spotlight: Meet Cati, Class of 2017

Alumni 2017 - Alumni 2017

Regents Alumni are incredibly important individuals as it's through their stories we learn what Regents truly stands for. Our students are accepted into the top universities around the globe and we love to hear about their successes once they leave Regents and in their chosen careers.

Cati graduated from Regents in 2017 and is currently an Engineering Doctorate at University of Swansea.

“After completing my integrated masters (MEng) in chemical engineering at Swansea University, I started my Engineering Doctorate (EngD). This allows me to make a real impact and travel for conferences as well as having flexibility in how and when I work.” said Cati when we had a chance to catch up with her earlier this year.

Cati’s doctorate focuses on researching photovoltaics for indoor low light applications such as powering the Internet of Things. This allows Cati to make a real impact as it's something that has never been done before. After completing her doctorate, Cati hopes to get a job in the industry to stay in the renewable energy field.

Cati remembers her years at Regents, "I have so many good memories of Regents including FOBISIA sports teams, International Days and the trip to Tanzania to climb Kilimanjaro! That was my favourite memory of Regents. I loved growing up in such an amazing school and doing activities such as learning to scuba dive and service projects."
