Inspection Feedback After having our re-accreditation inspection by the Education Development Trust and British Schools Overseas a few weeks ago, Regents is happy to announce that we have been re-accredited and have received some very positive feedback from the inspectors.

Education Development Trust Report Summary

Regents International School Pattaya is recognised as having met the required standards for accreditation.

This accreditation is valid from 24 May 2018 to 24 May 2023.

Overview of main strengths and areas for development report headlines:

• The good progress made by students across the school. A large majority of students enter the school with limited skills in English, but make good progress to access the curriculum successfully. Students reach attainment levels in both IGCSE examinations and the IBDP that are, overall, above international averages.
• Students’ positive attitudes and behaviours for learning and their positive relationships across the school community.
• The school’s commitment to the development of the whole child.
• The wide range of partnerships with organisations such as Round Square, Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA), The Julliard School and Nord Anglia Education that encourage the ethos of global citizenship, leadership and democracy. This is clearly evident in students’ commitment to equality and their respect and service for others less fortunate than themselves.
• The extensive school enrichment programme for both day and boarding students, with around 280 activities covering a wide range of sporting, musical, artistic and academic options.
• The extremely rigorous and comprehensive safeguarding measures in place to protect all students and promote their welfare, health and safety.
• The recently appointed principal and senior leaders’ capacity to improve the school. 


British Schools Overseas

The inspection is carried out using the following standards set out by BSO:

• The quality of education provided by the school (Curriculum, Teaching and Assessment). 

• The spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of pupils. 

• The welfare, health and safety of the pupils. 

• The suitability of the proprietor and staff. 

• The premises and accommodation. 

• The provision of information for parents, carers and others. 

• The school’s procedures for handling complaints. 

• The leadership and management of the school. 

• The quality of provision for boarding. 


The purposes of the inspections are to:

• Help schools to improve the quality and effectiveness of pupils’ education and of the care for their welfare
• Provide rigorous and reliable inspection reports which help schools to recognise and celebrate their strengths and to identify and remedy any weaknesses 

• Inform parents and the wider public of the quality of British schools overseas by placing reports in the public domain. 


The BSO inspection was carried out by a team of four Education Development Trust inspectors. The inspection team had access to information about the school prior to the inspection. During four days, the team observed 64 lessons, 19 of which were conducted jointly with a member of the senior leadership team. Inspectors held 32 meetings during which discussions with staff, pupils, parents and governors took place. Inspectors scrutinised pupils’ work and school documents and generally observed the school at work.

As a result of this inspection the school has demonstrated that it meets the Standards for British Schools Overseas. This judgement is endorsed by the British Government, quality assured by the Office for Standards in Education (Ofsted) and is valid for a period of three years. 


The Thai inspection team were also here and gave extremely positive verbal feedback at the end of the inspection. We expect their full report to be sent within the next few weeks.

Once we have received all three, full inspection reports we will build any recommendations into our future development plans so that we continue to offer the best quality education that transforms learning beyond the traditional and provide engaging learning environments to ensure your child will love coming to school.

การตรวจสอบโดย British Schools Overseas (BSO)

จุดประสงค์ของการตรวจครั้งนี้คือ:

• เพื่อช่วยโรงเรียนในการปรับปรุงคุณภาพและประสิทธิผลของการศึกษาของนักเรียนและการดูแลความเป็นอยู่ของนักเรียน
• เพื่อช่วยให้โรงเรียนทราบถึงจุดแข็งและจุดอ่อนใดๆที่อาจมี
• เพื่อแจ้งผู้ปกครองและประชาชนทั่วไปเกี่ยวกับคุณภาพของโรงเรียนหลักสูตรอังกฤษในต่างประเทศ โดยการแบ่งปันรายงานในโดเมนสาธารณะ

ในการตรวจโรงเรียนโดย BSO นั้น มีทีมเจ้าหน้าที่จาก Education Development Trust 4 คนมาเยี่ยมชมโรงเรียน โดยที่พวกเขาได้รับข้อมูลและรายละเอียดสำคัญของโรงเรียนก่อนหน้านี้แล้ว และใน 4 วันที่เจ้าหน้าที่ได้มาโรงเรียน พวกเขาได้เข้าชมการเรียนการสอน 64 ครั้ง และใน 19 ครั้ง ก็ได้เข้าชมกับผู้บริหารโรงเรียน นอกจากนี้เหล่าเจ้าหน้าที่ก็ได้เข้าประชุมกับสตาฟ นักเรียน ผู้ปกครอง และผู้ว่าราชการ รวมเป็นจำนวน 32 ครั้ง และได้ตรวจการบ้านของนักเรียนและเอกสารอื่นๆของโรงเรียนเช่นกัน

ผลจากการตรวจสอบครั้งนี้ แสดงให้เห็นว่าการเรียนการสอนที่รีเจ้นท์เป็นไปตามมาตรฐานสำหรับโรงเรียนหลักสูตรอังกฤษในต่างประเทศ และคำตัดสินนี้ก็ได้มีการรับการรับรองโดยรัฐบาลอังกฤษและสำนักงานมาตรฐานการศึกษา Ofsted เป็นเวลา 3 ปี

นอกจากนี้เจ้าหน้าที่ไทยก็ได้มาตรวจโรงเรียนในเวลาเดียวกันและได้ให้ความคิดเห็นเชิงบวกหลายอย่างเกี่ยวกับโรงเรียนเรา และเราก็คาดว่ารายงานฉบับเต็มของพวกเขาจะถูกส่งภายในไม่กี่สัปดาห์ถัดไป

เมื่อเราได้รับรายงานการตรวจสอบทั้ง 3 ฉบับแล้ว เราก็จะสามารถเริ่มต่อเติมผลสำรวจเข้าไปในแผนพัฒนาโรงเรียนของเรา เพื่อที่เราจะได้มอบการศึกษาที่นอกเหนือจากการเรียนรู้แบบดั้งเดิม และเพื่อที่เราจะได้มอบสถานที่การเรียนรู้ที่จะทำให้ลูกคุณรักการมาโรงเรียนอีกต่อไป
