As part of their Co-Curricular Activities, a group of Regents Secondary students visit the Haven Children’s Home every Thursday after school.
The Regents students organize a number of activities for the children, including origami, colouring and drawing and, of course, football. The children at the Haven look forward to our students' visits and the Regent’ students decided that as a Christmas treat they would take pizza for the Haven children. They organized a Pizza sale at lunchtime and were able to raise enough money to provide plenty of pizza for the Haven children. Visits to the Haven will continue next year with lots of new activities.
At Regents, our specialist staff are experts at creating personalised support programmes for students with additional educational needs. That’s why, throughout October we are celebrating Dyslexia and ADHD Awareness Month.
