Bungee Jumping
Pattaya Bungy Jump, located on Thepprasit Road, offers bungee jumping off a 60 metre high platform with a lagoon below. The Pattaya Bungy Jump was the first to open in South East Asia and is currently the highest in Thailand, so if your family is adventurous and loves an adrenaline rush then bungee jumping would be a wonderful experience which they would remember for the rest of their lives.
Muay Thai (Thai Boxing)
Muay Thai is Thailand’s national sport which has been practised for generations and can also be considered a martial art. Pattaya has several boxing schools which offer classes for all different levels, including beginners up to professional levels. The classes are available to people of all ages, both male and female. Fairtex Muaythai Training Centre is one of the more popular boxing schools in Pattaya, it has professional trainers who have helped produced some Muay Thai champions. Muay Thai boxing would be great to get your children involved in as it is a great form of exercise which is believed to help improve metal and physical discipline.
Horse Riding
The best place for horse riding in Pattaya is at Horseshoe Point as they have an International Riding School which offers courses for all different levels ranging from beginners to advanced riders. Riding lessons are available in small groups or in private lessons and the riding school offers dressage, show jumping and classical riding. Horse riding is a great hobby to get your children involved in as it is a lot of fun and it helps to keep them fit and healthy. It is also a great way of meeting other families in Pattaya who share the same interests as there are always different riding competitions to take part in or pony trails to go on which help you get to know others with a passion for horse riding.
Water Sports
Pattaya’s location and its climate make it ideal for water sports hence many different types of water sports are available here, including diving, snorkelling, sailing, jet skiing, windsurfing, amongst many others. There are boats which pick you up from the Bali Hi pier and there are instructors and supervisors who be hired to help guide you with the different water sports you wish to take part in. The main beaches in Pattaya are Pattaya beach, Jomtien beach, Naklua beach and Koh Larn Island, which is where all the different water sports are offered.
Golf
Golf is very popular in Pattaya as it said to be one of the most diverse areas for playing golf in Thailand as there are over 20 golf courses to choose from all within a 60 minute drive from Pattaya city centre. Golf in Pattaya is well-priced and affordable in comparison with most Western countries, and prices can range between 500 Baht to around 3,000 Baht. There are also golf societies such as International Pattaya Golf Club (IPGC) or Pattaya Golf Society (PGS) which give the opportunity to meet people who share a common interest in golf.
