There is no doubt that the IB Diploma course is both interesting and challenging.

As the largest Sixth Form in the region, we are lucky that we can offer such a wide range of subjects for our students. The number has grown substantially over the last few years and I am sure it will continue to grow.

It has been particularly pleasing to see how many students have come to Regents from overseas to join Year 12, many of them in boarding. They, like our own Year 11 students, recognise the high value universities now place on the IB Diploma. Our graduating students are able to use this qualification to get into prestigious universities around the world. Each year I am taken with how our students mature through this course. They learn how to manage a demanding workload and broad curriculum, as well as the demands of independent learning, original thinking, creativity, action and service. On top of all this, our sixth formers are roles model in the school, leading the Student Guild, acting as prefects and finding time to contribute to the amazing sporting, musical, dramatic and service learning opportunities that are such a feature of our school.

The IB Diploma at Regents is only going to get more attractive. I am delighted to say that we are continuing our investment into the facilities that support them, including the second phase of IB suite redevelopment and the major upgrade of boarding facilities.

The IB exams are almost upon them. We wish them luck and hope that they all get the result they deserve and admission to their university of choice.
