Celebrations continued in the evening at the Senior Formal, this year held at The Hilton Hotel. The students looked absolutely stunning in their beautiful dresses and smart suits and took advantage of the official photographer to have various formal and informal group photos during the course of the evening.
This year's graduation ceremony was held on Saturday 21st May in the Globe Theatre. Following the procession of the students, his Majesty the King's anthem was sung with guitar accompaniment by Teerapat - Game.
Midway through the Songkran Holiday, 14 courageous explorers from Year 6 set off to discover Australia. Whilst hosted by the prestigious Ivanhoe Grammar School near Melbourne for 2 weeks they experienced the wonderful Australian landscape and culture.
Today I had the biggest surprise ever! I was astonished when I found out that I was a final winner in the short story competition on Global Campus. I was totally overwhelmed with joy when our Assistant Head of Primary, Mrs Hannah Naowasuk, broke the news to me!

During the week, the girls shadowed some of our Year 9 students (some of whom had visited VDJS before Christmas in a Regents Exchange to India) and experienced a typical school day at Regents and an interesting trip to Arts in Paradise.
This year’s literary festival was a roaring success with our students going from strength to strength. There was a series of events arranged and hosted by the English and EAL Department. In Year Group assemblies, students had to match the picture of a book shelf, or ‘shelfie’, to the teacher. What does what we read say about us?! This year’s film night of ‘The Maze Runner’ drew the largest crowd to-date.
