This week, all students in Computing lessons will be taking part in a worldwide activity called the ‘Hour of Code’. The Hour of Code is a one hour introduction to Computer Science, designed to demystify programming and show that anybody can learn how to code.

On Wednesday 30th November, at 5.00pm, an audience were taken on a mysterious visual and auditory journey consisting of music, singing, movement and design inspired by Complicite Theatre Company. This IB Theatre performance examination requires students to devise an original piece of theatre whilst collaborating and taking risks.

Drama students at Regents International School Pattaya have been exploring the fascinating development of mask theatre. The Trestle mask technique complements the students’ study of the plain white neutral mask and the anarchic world of Commedia dell Arte where characters wear half-masks and are allowed to speak! Regents International School Pattaya enjoyed an extraordinary medal haul at the 2016 FOBISIA Games held in Beijing. Demonstrating fantastic commitment and determination, all members of the squad returned as medalists.
The annual Cross Country took place at St Andrew's on Thursday 13th October. Regents International School Pattaya's Lions team was comprised of approximately 80 students from Years 4 to 13. The students exhibited fantastic grit and determination at the competition and finished in overall 2nd place. The team included a number of medal winners from both primary and secondary races:
Last Thursday our Under 15 team took on GIS as part of their preparations for the U15 FOBISIA games in Beijing, China in November. This friendly match was part of the ESAC competitions between several local schools in this area, and it was their 2nd match this term.
A few weeks ago Mrs Rand's Year 1 class invited our two South African Gap Staff, Kelebogile Sediane and Tlotlano Kgosieng to their classroom to learn a little bit more about what life is like on the African continent. It is with the greatest pleasure that we welcome back Kathryn Andersen to Regents International School Pattaya for the start of the second year of her visits as part of the unique Juilliard-Nord Anglia Performing Arts Programme. Kathryn is a violinist from Pittsfield, Massachusetts. She received her Master of Music degree from The Juilliard School and her Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard University. She studied with Ronald Copes, Peter Zazofsky, and James Buswell.
