Today I had the biggest surprise ever! I was astonished when I found out that I was a final winner in the short story competition on Global Campus. I was totally overwhelmed with joy when our Assistant Head of Primary, Mrs Hannah Naowasuk, broke the news to me!
During the week, the girls shadowed some of our Year 9 students (some of whom had visited VDJS before Christmas in a Regents Exchange to India) and experienced a typical school day at Regents and an interesting trip to Arts in Paradise.
All the knowledge that I learnt from the trip and the things I did during the trip will help me in the future. I am going share all of my experiences from this trip with my family, friends and the whole assembly at my school.
An opportunity like this takes you out of your comfort zone. Living in a new country and working in an international school, throws new challenges at you daily. It keeps you on your toes and ensures that you are ready for anything!
Have you ever heard of the saying “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks?” Well, that’s something that your teachers are setting out to prove wrong. At our school we believe that with support and opportunity, commitment and perseverance you can learn anything.
Using funds from the Round Square Special Projects budget, I am pleased to announce that we were able to offer scholarships to six Primary aged-children and three university students. These children, and their families, are very thankful for the support and the opportunity which Regents has given them and in return, we will be updated on how the students are getting on in their education throughout the year.
Member's of Regents teaching staff have been volunteering at the Pattaya Animal Shelter, dedicating time to help vaccinate and treat unhealthy canine's.
If you want to get the family out of Pattaya for the weekend, Bangkok is a great option. One of South East Asia's largest cities has so much in store for you and the kids.
Pattaya in Thailand will never be everyone’s ideal destination, but don’t be fooled by the caricatures: your family has a lot to gain from living in the city – and give back to it.
