“I regard it as the foremost task of education to insure the survival of these qualities: an enterprising curiosity, an undefeatable spirit, tenacity in pursuit, readiness for sensible self-denial, and above all, compassion.” – Kurt Hahn
The Kurt Hahn Scholarship is awarded to young people who demonstrate they have a commitment to the Round Square. Kurt Hahn Scholars will have discovered and developed their own capabilities through a range of experiences, activities, collaborative projects and challenges, both within and outside the curriculum, including social service projects, exchanges and conference participation.
Students of any age who demonstrate the Round Square discoveries of inquisitiveness, communication skills, appreciation of diversity, problem solving, tenacity, courage, team work, self-awareness, compassion, and inventiveness are eligible to apply.
