This year marks the 25th anniversary of BIS HCMC. Since our foundation, we’ve provided an exceptional education to thousands of students from across the world, becoming the leading British school in the country.

We opened our doors in August 1997 – initially as a small pre-school called Tiny Tots – in a renovated villa in District 1 of the city. Our founders, Maurice and Rosie Nguyen, invested their time, energy, and savings into the establishment of a British-style education centre for their daughter, Jenny. The school quickly became the most sought-after pre-school in Ho Chi Minh City, both for international and Vietnamese students.

From these humble beginnings, we’ve grown into an all-age school that provides a holistic learning environment for children aged 2 to 18. In 2006, our first sixth form graduates went on to study at university.

In March 2015, BIS HCMC joined the Nord Anglia Education family. This has brought many benefits, from access to world-leading education technology and award-winning teacher training programmes, to exclusive collaborations with The Juilliard School, MIT, and UNICEF.

We now have three purpose-built campuses – Early Years and Infant, Junior, and Secondary – in the vibrant Thao Dien area of Ho Chi Minh City. Home to more than 2,300 students from 55 countries, we offer an all-round education that balances academic excellence with personal, social, and emotional development and wellbeing.
