  • What can we expect on the first day of camp?
On the first day of camp (every Monday morning), you will enter the designated carpool area and remain in your vehicle. Viking Camp staff and campus security will direct you through the carpool line.

  • How do you group campers? Is my buddy request guaranteed?
Camper groups are based on rising grade/age. We try our best to accommodate buddy requests, but there are some factors that may prevent us from accommodating requests. These may include age gaps (i.e. a 6-year-old and a 10-year-old will not be put in the same group) and enrollment numbers/group sizes.
  • Am I able to tour the campus and facilities?
Before Summer: Since the camp is hosted throughout our beautiful campus, we are happy to allow you a scheduled visit. Please contact the Camp team at vssummer@thevillageschool.com to arrange a day and time.

During Summer: If you would like to see camp in action, we are happy to coordinate a day and time that works best for your family and Camp coordinator or Camp Director. (after morning drop-off once campers have settled in).

Village Summer Programs are led by teachers, instructors, and coaches who are all current Village School Staff members.

  • My child has food allergies. What will Village do to keep them safe?
Students who have allergies will be provided with a safe lunch. We ensure this by making all food items allergen-free. In addition, we have a nurse on-site during all camp hours that will be readily available if any issues arise. Parents are asked to ensure that camp staff is fully aware of any allergies in advance.
  • Will my child take a nap?
Pre-3 and PK-4 students will have a rest time built into their day. All other students will not have nap times.
  • What is the refund policy?

Parents will receive a full refund if you cancel prior to April 1st. After this date, a refund will be given only if a class/program is canceled, or a student is precluded from participating for the entire session for medical reasons supported in a doctor’s note.

If a force majeure event occurs (e.g., natural disasters, government orders, or unforeseen closures) and impacts your child’s participation, we will do our best to accommodate families by offering credit towards camp account or transferring enrollment to a different camp session if possible.

  • What should my child bring to camp?
Students should dress in cool and comfortable clothes and closed-toed shoes. Please put sunscreen on your child before camp and send a labeled bottle of sunscreen to camp with your child if it needs to be reapplied. Please also send a zip-lock bag with a change of clothes and napping material for all Early Childhood (PK3/4) children. All students should bring their own labeled water bottles.
  • Can I enroll my child in a single day of camp?
