SOCIAL PURPOSE AT NAIS HONG KONG
SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Our outstanding teachers create lessons that help students understand the importance of being socially conscious from a young age. They discuss ways they can have a positive impact on our communities while also considering how they can create a better future for all children around the world.
In Primary, they learn about the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. They’re tasked to create solutions to some of the world's biggest problems, as part of UNICEF's Global Challenge. While supporting hundreds of local causes through these activities with UNICEF and the SDGs, our students open their eyes to the world and sculpt out their own sense of purpose.
By Secondary, they become ready to actively drive change through social entrepreneurship opportunities. One of the core elements of the IB Diploma Programme, for example, is ‘CAS’ (Creativity, Activity, Service). This challenges students to not only pursue their passion but also to use it to solve problems. Building up to CAS, our Lower Secondary students get ready by participating in Student Portfolios, the Student Council, the NAE Student Advisory Board.
