Our Students Celebrate Success with IGCSE Results

100% of our students gained 5 or more A-C grades in their subjects, 55% of the grades were at the top level of A or A*.

Our students were celebrating their long-awaited IGCSE results earlier this month. This was a particularly poignant moment for the school as this was our first cohort to sit the IGCSE exams. Our students’ incredible achievements have created an amazing atmosphere all across our school as we applaud their successes.

Brian Cooklin, Principal at Nord Anglia International School Hong Kong, said: “It is very exciting as we reach a milestone in the development of the school. This year, it has been the results of our first IGCSE cohort. I am delighted to tell you that 100% of our students gained 5 or more A-C grades in their subjects. 55% of the grades were at the top level of A or A*. These are fantastic results which have been achieved as a result of the commitment and hard work of all the students and teachers. As teachers, we await the exam results with great anticipation – it gives us great satisfaction to see students succeed and, often, exceed our expectations. It is a validation of all the work and time invested in supporting them. Now we have to do the same for the new Year 11 students and for our IB Diploma cohort starting this year.”

One student who can definitely feel proud of her achievements is Anni who received excellent results consisting of A*s and A’s in a total of 11 subjects. Anni said: “I’m pleased with my results this year. I’d like to especially thank the all of the teachers for encouraging me to go the extra mile. It was an exciting day when I received the result, and I’m feeling a big sense of accomplishment.”

Another student, Velvet, said her good results will help prepare her for the coming IBDP. Velvet said: “I am very pleased with my results and this will really give me a head-start when I start my IB Diploma Programme.”
