After over a year of learning and teaching fully delivered through our ‘Virtual School Experience’, we finally welcomed students back to campus for face-to-face learning during the week beginning Monday 7th June 2021. We were able to re-open after being selected by the Jakarta Education Agency to participate in their school re-opening pilot programme. We are delighted that the pilot programme signals ‘light at the end of the tunnel’ and that our students and teachers can spend some time engaged in face-to-face learning before the end of this academic year.
The pilot programme aims to model a safe return to campus with an integrated learning structure. Only our Primary year groups can participate in this pilot programme which specifies the number of hours and days for face-to-face learning. In addition, we also employ strict health and safety protocols to ensure that everyone on campus takes appropriate precautions in line with government protocols.
We are delighted to be reunited with our students and families after 15 months of school closure. The first week of school re-opening was filled with happy smiles, excitement and emotion as parents waved goodbye to their children and as staff welcomed them through the school gates. Thank you to everyone who has supported the smooth running of our first week of re-opening. Please watch our video to take a closer look.
