The Year 3 Owl Class have had a busy week of collaborating in their Superhero STEAM week groups to solve problems, make decisions, create, design, imagine and execute.
Today's problem was how to move through a crowded city at super speed, negotiating buildings, traffic and other obstacles along the way. Superheroes seem to do this with ease. The challenge for the children was to create a marble run containing 4 key elements. The marble had to:
Using an Early Years classroom and resources, the Owl's worked together in their groups of 6 to achieve their goal. There were problems that arose, disagreements had, and frustrations to control. However, team work won in the end with each group proudly presenting their successful marble run.
