Festival fun for the whole NIS Jakarta family as a rainbow of colours and flowers took over the field on Thursday as we celebrated the end of the school year with our NIS' Got Talent festival and family picnic.
Our “flower power’ theme was enthusiastically embraced by children, staff and parents alike as they came dressed in their best hippie and flower inspired outfits. The field was turned into a wonderful performing arts festival with our talented students showcasing their amazing talents on stage. We had fantastic singing and dancing, piano playing, story-telling, musical ensembles and rock-star drumming. The children shone with confidence and the audience was thoroughly entertained. Throughout the festival, everyone delighted in the wonderful picnics prepared by the parents. It was a truly wonderful afternoon of laughter and smiles. Thank you to everyone for making this such a special NIS community event.

Elevating your child’s learning experience through play invitations is one of the answers to the question: "How do I support my child's learning at home?" A play invitation should be inviting and attention grabbing, however, it does not have to be FIERCE (that is, Fabulous, Involving adults, Expensive, Result-driven, Creative and Elaborate). The key is to work with what you have.
